Moriya is kind and shows concern for her friends, like Azusa, but she and Morii often present their concern in a teasing manner. Unfortunately, Azusa interprets their affection as bullying. She even regretted playing the trick on Azusa when she murmurs in her sleep trying to tell Azusa not to go.

Moriya and Azusa were classmates at Azusa's old school. She and Morii often played pranks on Azusa that were interpreted as bullying. After joking that the class trip was to a different location than it actually was, Azusa becomes upset and transfers schools.
After asking Yōto for help, Moriya and Morii are able to patch their relationship with Azusa. The three even go to the beach to attempt to make up for the class trip.
She often refers to Azusa by the nickname "Little Bean".
